I’m Alisa Wylie.
I live and work in Glasgow, Scotland. I have contributed to the following publications: RavechildIndulge Sound, Overblown, the Strathclyde Telegraph, of which I was previously the Music Editor for in the year 2016/2017 and then elected Editor-in-Chief in 2017.
I have written on a freelance basis — I have been commissioned by Historic Scotland and DIY Magazine.
In 2017, I was nominated in the Young Journalist of the Year Category at the Scottish Magazine Awards. This was out of 200+ applicants. There were six who were up for the award.
The whole of 2017 was a blur, but I still kept writing. A lot of it in private, to make sense of the chaos that was my personal life.
Most recently, I have been under the first ever #StoryLab trainee programme by Scottish journalist co-operative The Ferret.  My story, ‘Lucky and Still Here,’ which looked at the impact that the mental health provision crisis in Scottish Universities was having on it’s students was published in January of 2019. You can read it here.
I have an online portfolio, too.
As above, if you'd like to get in contact, my email is alisawwrites [at] gmail [dot] com

Cheers!
